We are delighted to be celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8. This global event, initiated in 1911, celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women and calls for the acceleration of gender parity. At SGS, we champion women. On this day, we highlight their voices to show how their contributions are essential to our success.
The theme for 2024 is Inspire Inclusion, so this year we have looked at the value that our female employees bring to the company and society. Did you know that 31.9% of leadership positions at SGS are held by women?
All across our network, the contributions of women are recognized as equal and integral to our achievements and identity as an organization. Tugce Tunc, Assistant Operations Coordination in Turkey, told us, “I work in a male-dominated industry but not once has my gender been an issue.” Mixcy Cardenas, Campaigns Analyst in Colombia, explained how inclusion works practically for her at SGS: “It involves curating campaigns, strategies and messages to ensure everyone feels represented and valued.”
